Aid Stations and Food

There are 3 Aid Stations in the FAT 55.  We call these Aid 1, Aid 2 and Aid 3.

Each aid station is equipped with the essentials: water, food, and basic first aid.  Due to the remote location of the course there is no cell access at Aid 1 or Aid 3 most of the time.

Each rider passes through Aid 1 and aid 3 two times for a total of 5 aid locations throughout the course.

Food and Water:  We offer water at every aid station.  There will not be pre filled bottles.  Prepare to stop and fill your bottle at the station.  Each aid station will have fresh fruit, quartered sandwiches (peanut butter and local blackberry, turkey with cheese, and ham with cheese.  There will also be dried fruit and some Kate’s Real Food bars.   There will also be some electrolyte drink pre mixed or un mixed.

Bring your own!  We suggest leaving some treats for yourself at Greenwaters Park in addition to what we offer so you can have just what you love halfway through this tough ride.

Before and after:  Trailhead Cafe will be open early on Saturday to serve you.  Stop in for a coffee, oatmeal, or a breakfast burrito.  Trailhead will also be serving up food in the afternoon at the park.  Every racer and volunteer gets a free meal, everyone else can buy a meal at a reasonable price.
